Crafts

Okay, I made it to the computer lab today while Maiby is sleeping and James is at home...AND I remembered the camera. So far things are looking up! I finished a new craft the other day, a magnet board. Thanks, Michelle for the great enrichment. She got hooked up with some FREE metal at an a/c place, so it was a great deal, and I am very excited with how mine turned out. I even made the magnets myself!

The other craft that I mentioned the other day was the shape book for Maiby. For now it will be an at-church only toy, so she hasn't seen it yet. But here are the pics.

I was pleased with it. I will see how it holds up in the next little while to determine if it's a good baby shower gift or not. Maiby and I also made valentines for Daddy and her grandparents. It was pretty fun. She wasn't really sure about the fingerpaint.

And I have been wanting for a long time to show off the excellent valentine crafts that Lacey provided us with. Thanks, Lacey. And she also had some done for St Patrick's day, so keep waiting and when they are up I will hopefully post them sometime.

AND one more final picture. I came downstairs the other day to continue working on a baby shower gift for Kristine, my SIL, but my sewing machine cord had been moved - into the heater!! Oh, the pain of electric heaters. We had to go without heat downstairs for that day and the next until the maintenance man came and was able to get it out, since I couldn't. Here's the melted cord:

Cute crafts! You'll have to show me how to make the church books!

That's so good Missy. I love all of them. I really hope the book holds up.
Sorry about your chord.
My sewing machine actually stopped working the other week and now I need to take it in and get it fixed. It only cost us $40 so I'm assuming it's gonna be at least that much to fix it.
Oh well.

That stinks about your machine chord. Those books are super cute! You should do an enrichment on them! I bet a lot of people would come. I am always amazed at the little crafts you come up with.

Hi!
I don't want to sound all stalker-like,but I ran across your blog and thought I'd give a shout out :)

My brother was one of Jeremy's good friends all growing up. and I went to seminary with James.

You should post pictures of your sweet little Maiby.

Kristine is having a baby?!? I think I still remember her as like 12. She was so cute.

Hope it's okay that I'm checking out your blog ;)

Have a great day!
